Advanced IGBT inverter technology
The welding machine is an inverter type and uses advanced IGBT technology. The inverter converts the 50Hz/60Hz AC voltage from the mains into DC, which is then transformed back into AC voltage by a high-frequency (20 kHz) converter.
IGBT technology allows efficient adjustment of welding parameters, ensures a stable arc and reduces energy losses.

HORNEC® SynMIG 2200i COMBO operating modes
Synergic MIG
The machine helps match the welding voltage and wire feed parameters to the selected wire, its diameter and shielding gas. Convenient when you need to start working quickly.
Manual MIG
Allows separate adjustment of voltage and wire feed speed. Suitable for experienced users who want to fine-tune the arc to the metal, wire and welding position.
MMA
Welding with coated electrodes. A practical choice for repair, installation and outdoor work when no wire feeder or shielding gas cylinder is needed.
TIG DC (HF)
TIG mode is intended for cleaner and more precisely controlled welds. HF high-frequency ignition forms the arc without touching the tungsten electrode to the workpiece. *DC mode (direct current) does not support aluminium welding.
Plasma cutting
Cutting current of up to 50 A allows cutting of electrically conductive metals. Adjustable gas flow before and after cutting helps preserve the torch consumables.

Synergic and manual MIG control
The digital control panel lets you select synergic or manual MIG mode, wire diameter, shielding gas type and additional arc parameters. Settings are clearly visible on the display, making it easier to prepare the machine for work and control the welding process.
- Wire diameter: 0.6 / 0.8 / 0.9 / 1.0 mm.
- Gas selection: CO₂, gas mixture, argon or gasless FLUX mode.
- 2T mode: the torch button is held down throughout welding.
- 4T mode: more convenient for longer welds, as the button does not need to be held constantly.
- SPOT: spot welding with a set time of approx. 0-3 seconds.
- Arc softness adjustment: helps tune the arc character and amount of spatter.
- Pre-gas / Post-gas: adjustable gas flow before and after welding.
Stable MIG wire feed
The easy-opening wire compartment simplifies spool replacement, wire threading and maintenance of the feed mechanism. Correctly adjusted roller pressure helps ensure smooth wire movement and a more stable welding arc.
- Wire diameters of 0.6-1.0 mm can be selected.
- For steel, use steel wire with CO₂ or an argon/CO₂ mixture.
- Self-shielded FLUX wire allows work without a shielding gas cylinder.
- The aluminium MIG program is designed for 1.0 mm Al wire with argon gas.
- Recommended universal gas mixture for steel - approx. 83 % argon and 17 % CO₂.

Precise HF TIG arc ignition
High-frequency HF ignition forms the arc without touching the tungsten electrode to the workpiece. This helps reduce the risk of electrode and weld contamination and allows a more precise start of welding.
- Adjustable pre-weld gas flow time.
- Adjustable post-weld gas flow protects the weld and tungsten electrode while they cool.
- A gap of approx. 3 mm or less to the workpiece is recommended.
- It is recommended to hold the torch at an angle of no more than 15°.
Plasma cutting up to 50 A
The integrated plasma cutting mode is intended for cutting electrically conductive metals. Where possible, it is recommended to start cutting from the edge of the workpiece - this reduces molten metal blowback and preserves the torch parts.
- Adjustable cutting current range: 10-50 A.
- Adjustable pre-gas and post-gas times.
- A distance of approx. 1.5 mm from the workpiece surface is recommended.
- The pilot arc should not be kept on longer than necessary.
Duty cycle according to the machine rating plate
| Process | 60 % duty cycle | 100 % duty cycle |
|---|---|---|
| MIG | 200 A / 23 V | 140 A / 21 V |
| MMA | 200 A / 27.2 V | 140 A / 25.6 V |
| TIG | 200 A / 17.2 V | 140 A / 15.6 V |
| Plasma cutting | 50 A / 96 V | 35 A / 90 V |
Duty cycle indicates how long the machine can operate within a 10-minute period at the specified current. For example, a 60 % duty cycle means up to 6 minutes of operation, with the remaining time for cooling. The duty cycle may be reduced by high ambient temperature, insufficient ventilation or covered air vents.

Practical in the workshop and garage
- Integrated handle makes it easier to move the machine between workstations.
- Digital display clearly shows the selected parameters.
- Processes combined in one housing reduce the need for separate machines.
- Ventilation openings and active cooling help dissipate heat generated during operation.
- IP21S class is intended for work in a dry environment protected from rain.
- Changeable polarity allows the machine to be properly set up for work with gas or self-shielded wire.
- Large 35/50 connectors - ensure even greater welding current stability.
- Euro-type torch connector - easy torch replacement and compatibility with popular MIG torches.
Important before starting work
- The machine is intended for welding and plasma cutting of electrically conductive metals.
- Use appropriate eye, face, hand and body protection.
- Work in a well-ventilated, dry environment.
- Do not cover the ventilation openings; leave enough free space around the machine.
- Do not exceed the duty cycle specified on the rating plate.
- If the machine overheats, stop work and let it cool down with the fan running.
- Disconnect the machine from the mains before changing connections or torches or performing maintenance.
