Professional welding machine FORBY® MIG 200 PT pulse (double pulse)
This welding machine is a MIG welding inverter with constant voltage output characteristics. It is built with advanced IGBT inverter technology developed by our company. Using high-power IGBT components, the inverter converts the DC voltage, rectified from the 50Hz/60Hz AC input voltage, into a 20 kHz high-frequency AC voltage, which is then transformed and rectified.
FORBY® MIG-200PT PULSE - a high-end synergic inverter welding machine with PULSE and COOL PULSE functions, plus pulse MIG, LIFT TIG and MMA modes. It is a versatile 3 in 1 solution for both professional workshops and demanding craftsmen in the garage. Pulse mode, efficient electronic control and easy operation produce a clean, stable weld with less distortion and spatter.
Thanks to pulse MIG, TIG and MMA modes, the machine is suitable for a very wide range of work:
- Mild steel (structural steel) - gates, fences, frames, repair work, profiles.
- Stainless steel - with stainless steel wire in MIG mode or with LIFT TIG when a clean, decorative weld is required.
- Aluminium alloys - in MIG mode with aluminium wire (0.8-1.2 mm) and a Teflon liner for wire feeding.
- Cast iron, manganese and other alloys - in MMA mode with suitable electrodes.
- Thin sheet metal and profiles - PULSE, COOL PULSE and TIG modes allow welding with less heating and help avoid burn-through.

The welding machine is an inverter type and uses advanced IGBT technology. The inverter converts the 50Hz/60Hz AC voltage from the mains into DC, which a high-frequency (20 kHz) converter then turns back into AC voltage.
IGBT technology allows efficient control of welding parameters, provides a stable arc and reduces energy losses.
PULSE and COOL PULSE - the biggest advantage of the MIG-200PT
In short: without PULSE and COOL PULSE, burn-through of thin workpieces, distortion and heavy spatter are common problems. With the FORBY® MIG-200PT PULSE these problems are greatly reduced - weld quality comes close to TIG while working speed stays at MIG level.
PULSE - higher weld quality, less heating, less spatter. Pulse mode switches the current between two levels (pulses), so the metal melts in a controlled way and the arc becomes very stable. This offers the following benefits:
- Much less metal spatter - cleaner work, less cleaning.
- Lower heat input - less distortion, especially on thin sheet metal.
- More stable arc - easier to keep an even weld.
- Better penetration at lower current.
- Smoother and highly aesthetic welds even without much experience.
COOL PULSE - an even more advanced pulse algorithm that not only alternates the pulsed current between two levels but also lowers the average temperature in the weld zone.
- Very low heat input - almost no workpiece warping, ideal for car body work and thin structures.
- Maximally clean welding - minimal spatter, the weld resembles TIG quality while keeping MIG speed.
- Beginner-friendly - lower risk of burn-through, easier to keep the right speed and distance.
- Especially suitable for aluminium and stainless steel - better metal structure, neater weld colour and shape.
PULSE mode is especially useful for stainless steel, aluminium, thin workpieces and decorative welds.
COOL PULSE - maximally clean welds with minimal heating

1. Left knob - mode selection / MIG voltage fine-tuning
- Used to select the welding mode (DC MIG, Single Pulse, Double Pulse, MMA, Lift-TIG).
- Turn to select a mode, press to confirm the selection.
- In MIG mode this knob is also used to fine-tune the voltage (±5 V from the synergic setting).
2. Left button - main menu button
- Navigates between modes.
- A long press in pulse modes opens the arc length control menu (CC / FC).
3. Right knob - parameter adjustment knob
Used to adjust:
- Wire feed speed / current in MIG mode,
- Pulse frequency, width values, base current (in pulse modes),
- Hot Start and Arc Force values in MMA mode,
- Lift-TIG current in TIG mode.
- Pressing the knob confirms the selected parameter block.
4. Right button - advanced settings button
- Used to access advanced welding parameters:
- Wire diameter selection (0.8 / 0.9 / 1.0 / 1.2 mm),
- Inductance adjustment (-10…+10),

- Slow wire feed (slow-feed) setting,
- Post-flow (gas flow time after welding).
- In pulse modes it also enables:
- Pulse Frequency (1.0-2.5),
- W - pulse width (20-80),
- A - base current (20-99).

FAST AND CONVENIENT GAS HOSE CONNECTION
1. The integrated quick gas coupling allows the gas hose to be connected or disconnected quickly and easily. This shortens the machine set-up time and makes moving and transporting it easier.
2. A 3-metre pressure-resistant gas hose is included with a quick coupling on the machine side. The optimal hose length gives more freedom to position the welding machine and gas cylinder conveniently at the workplace.
STURDY CONNECTORS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER LOADS
Large 35-50 welding cable connectors ensure reliable contact and stable current transfer. They are designed for higher loads and help reduce connector heating and energy losses. Compared with budget-class machines, which more often use 10-25 connectors, 35-50 welding cable connectors provide an extra reliability margin.
The standard EURO connector for the MIG torch joins the welding current, gas, wire feed and control contacts in a single connection. The torch can be quickly connected, disconnected or easily replaced with another compatible MIG torch, and the threaded lock keeps the connection secure during work.
FORBY welding equipment focuses on quality, durability and ease of use, so even compact machines feature higher-grade solutions such as large 35-50 cable connectors and a universal EURO connector for the MIG torch.
