FORBY® MIG-200ST PRO is a versatile inverter welding machine that combines MIG/MAG, LIFT TIG and MMA welding processes in a single housing. Synergic settings, a modern LCD display, a high duty cycle and a wide current range make it easy to achieve a quality weld both in a home workshop and in a professional environment.

What can be welded?

• Mild steel - in MIG/MAG, MMA and TIG modes (structures, frames, gates, fences).
• Stainless steel - with stainless steel wire in MIG mode or with LIFT TIG for clean, decorative welds.
• Aluminium alloys - in MIG mode with aluminium wire (1.0 mm recommended) and a Teflon liner.
• Cast iron and hard alloys - in MMA mode using suitable electrodes.
• Thin sheets and profiles - in LIFT TIG and MIG modes when a clean weld and lower heat input are required.

MIG/MAG mode

• For everyday work with steel, 0.8 mm wire is usually sufficient.
• For thinner sheets, choose a lower current and shorter weld length to avoid burn-through.
• Hold the torch 10-15 mm from the workpiece and move evenly along the seam.

LIFT TIG mode

• Use high-purity (99.99 %) argon gas.
• Grind the tungsten electrode to a cone shape to keep the arc concentrated.
• Use a lower current at the start and end of the weld to prevent craters.

MMA mode

• Choose the electrode diameter according to metal thickness: 2.5 mm - for thinner structures, 3.2-4.0 mm - for thicker ones.
• Remember to clean rust and paint from the weld area - this improves arc stability and weld quality.

Designed for use with a 5 kg D200 welding wire spool. With the main wire holder removed, the machine is also compatible with a 1 kg D100 spool.

Easily accessible wire compartment - the wide opening chamber allows quick spool changes, convenient wire threading and maintenance.

Reliable two-roller wire feed mechanism - ensures stable and even wire feed and precise pressure adjustment.

Supplied with a 0.8 mm / 1.0 mm feed roller.

QUICK AND CONVENIENT GAS HOSE CONNECTION

1. Integrated quick gas coupling allows the gas hose to be connected or disconnected easily and quickly. This shortens the machine set-up time and makes relocation and transport easier.

2. Supplied with a 3-metre pressure-resistant gas hose with a quick coupling on the machine side. The optimal hose length gives more freedom to conveniently position the welding machine and gas cylinder at the workplace.

STURDY CONNECTORS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER LOADS

Large 35-50 welding cable connectors ensure reliable contact and stable current transfer. They are designed for higher loads and help reduce connector heating and energy losses. Compared to budget-class machines, which more often use 10-25 connectors, 35-50 welding cable connectors provide an additional reliability margin.

Standard EURO connector for the MIG torch joins the welding current, gas, wire feed and control contacts in a single connection. The torch can be quickly connected, disconnected or easily replaced with another MIG torch, and the threaded lock ensures a secure connection during operation.
