Powerful inverter welding machine FORBY® MMA 315P LED
FORBY® MMA 315P LED is a three-phase DC inverter welding machine designed for MMA, MMA PULSE and LIFT TIG welding. It uses IGBT inverter technology, fast recovery diodes and a purpose-designed main PCB, which together give smooth welding current control and a stable arc.

The welding current can be set from 10 to 315 A, so the machine can handle jobs of different intensity. In MMA mode you can use electrodes from 2.0 to 6.0 mm in diameter. The pulsed MMA mode lets you adjust the base current and pulse frequency.

On the clear LED control panel you can select MMA, MMA PULSE, VRD and LIFT TIG modes and adjust the main parameters. The machine has Hot Start, Arc Force and synergic control functions. The display also shows the selected electrode diameter and metal thickness.

FORBY® MMA 315P LED is suitable for welding:

Main functions and advantages

• Pulsed MMA mode: base current adjustable from 70 to 315 A and pulse frequency from 0.5 to 10 Hz. This gives more precise control of the arc and of the heat input into the workpiece.
• MMA welding mode: a current range of 10-315 A lets you work with Ø2.0-6.0 mm coated electrodes.
• LIFT TIG function: allows TIG welding with contact (lift) arc ignition.
• Hot Start function: briefly raises the starting current, so the electrode ignites more easily and sticks to the workpiece less often.
• Arc Force function: arc force adjustable in the 0-10 range, helps keep the arc more stable and makes electrode sticking less likely.
• VRD function: in MMA mode you can choose VRD ON or VRD OFF, while in LIFT TIG mode VRD is always on.

• Digital LED display: clearly shows welding current, arc force, Hot Start setting, pulse base current, pulse frequency, electrode diameter and metal thickness.
• Overheating protection and phase loss warning: indicators warn about unsuitable operating conditions and help protect the machine's electronics.
• High duty cycle: the machine can run at 315 A at 60% duty cycle and at 223 A at 100% duty cycle.

• Mode selection knob: MMA, VRD, MMA PULSE and LIFT TIG modes.

LIFT TIG mode

A TIG torch (with valve) must be purchased separately. The machine can then be used for basic DC TIG welding where cleaner weld seams are needed.

• Arc ignition by touching the workpiece and lifting the TIG torch
• VRD function is on in LIFT TIG mode

Compact and lightweight housing. The machine measures only 505 × 220 × 335 mm and weighs about 11.7 kg. This makes it easy to carry, mount on trolleys or use in confined spaces.

Convenient carrying handle. A sturdy plastic handle is built into the top, which makes it very easy to move the machine between workplaces.

Sturdy two-part construction. The housing has a metal side cover and a tough reinforced plastic front and rear frame, which lowers the risk of damage during transport.

Clear LED display and ergonomic control panel. The front has a large LED display and two control knobs for setting parameters.

Clearly marked quick connectors (35-50 type). The front panel has large, durable + / - connectors for the electrode holder and earth clamp. The quick-lock mechanism lets you connect cables quickly and safely.

Protected electronics. A high-quality IGBT system is installed inside. The electronics are well protected against dust and vibration, but you should still look after them: blow the machine out with compressed air regularly, because dust and metal particles shorten the life of the electronics.

IP21S protection class. Protects against vertically falling water drops and dust ingress. Recommended for indoor use; avoid damp rooms.

STURDY CONNECTORS BUILT FOR HEAVIER LOADS

Large 35-50 type welding cable connectors give reliable contact and stable current transfer. Correctly connected and locked connectors help reduce contact resistance, connector heating and energy losses at the joints.

Secure connection of electrode holder and earth cables. The 35-50 type + / - connectors on the front panel make it easy to connect the cables and choose the polarity needed for the electrode in use. The cables are easy to disconnect when preparing the machine for transport or storage.
