Sherman-profi V6b self-darkening panel

The Sherman-profi V6b automatic welding helmet is designed to protect the eyes and face from sparks, spatter, and harmful radiation during electric arc welding, brazing, soldering, and grinding.

The auto-darkening filter switches from light to dark as soon as the arc is struck and returns to light when work is finished. The filter offers the highest optical class 1/1/1/1 for clear, distortion-free vision, while TRUE COLOR full color-rendering technology enhances comfort and visibility. In the light state the shade is DIN 4, with light-to-dark switching in 1/30000 s and dark-to-light delay adjustable from 0.2 to 0.8 s.

The V6b provides three external controls to adjust shade level within DIN 5–13, sensitivity of the photosensors to arc intensity, and the delay for switching between dark and light. A dedicated grinding mode sets the filter to a permanent light state. Four photosensors ensure reliable operation in any position, which is especially important when welding at low currents. Thanks to the very large viewing area of 100 × 97 mm, the V6b offers an exceptionally wide field of view.

An advanced, ergonomic headgear system allows precise fit and full position adjustment, with a special tilt mechanism that shifts the helmet’s center of gravity for improved balance and comfort. Inside, a Test button lets you verify proper filter operation, and an LED indicates battery status. The helmet provides full UV/IR protection at DIN 16 even in the light state. Power is supplied by a solar cell with a replaceable lithium battery, with automatic on/off. Operating temperature: −5 to +55 °C. Weight: 0.55 kg.
