Professional inverter welding machine FORBY® TIG 200 MX DC
FORBY® TIG 200 MX DC is a modern pulse welding inverter designed for precise DC welding of metals. The machine is built using IGBT technology and controlled by an MCU system that responds quickly to changes in the welding process, helps maintain a stable arc and precisely controls the set parameters.
The unit supports HF TIG and LIFT TIG welding, pulse TIG, COLD WELD and MMA modes. You can also choose 2T or 4T torch control and use the VRD function. HF ignition allows TIG welding with a tungsten electrode to start without touching the workpiece, while LIFT TIG mode can be used when working near equipment sensitive to high frequency.
A wide parameter adjustment range lets you adapt the machine to different tasks. You can set the start, main, base and crater current, current upslope and downslope time, shielding gas pre-flow and post-flow time, pulse frequency and pulse duty cycle. TIG and MMA welding current is adjustable from 10 to 200 A.
Thanks to the pulse TIG mode, heat input into the workpiece can be controlled more precisely, the weld pool kept more stable and the risk of overheating and distortion of thin parts reduced.
FORBY® TIG 200 MX DC is suitable for:
- Stainless steel - for clean and aesthetic welds.
- Carbon and mild steel - for structures, profiles, pipes and repair work.
- Alloy steel - for production and metalworking tasks.
- Titanium and its alloys - for work requiring precise control of heat and welding current.
- Thin sheets and small parts - using pulse TIG or COLD WELD mode.
- Welding with coated electrodes - in MMA mode, electrodes of 2.5-5.0 mm diameter can be used.
The machine features overheating and overvoltage protection, a digital control panel and a convenient parameter adjustment knob. Compact dimensions, a weight of 6.5 kg and an integrated carrying handle make the unit convenient to use in workshops, production, installation and repair work.

The welding machine is an inverter type and uses advanced IGBT technology. The inverter converts the 50 Hz / 60 Hz AC mains voltage into DC, which is then transformed back into AC by a high-frequency (20 kHz) converter.
IGBT technology allows efficient adjustment of welding parameters, ensures a stable arc and reduces energy losses.

Main welding machine specifications
FORBY® TIG 200 MX DC is an inverter welding machine designed for DC welding in TIG and MMA modes. The unit supports HF TIG, LIFT TIG, pulse TIG, COLD WELD and MMA welding. The welding current range for both methods is 10-200 A.
The machine is powered from a 230 V ±10%, 50/60 Hz mains supply. Maximum no-load voltage - 64 V. Protection class - IP21S, insulation class - H.
Current characteristics:
Welding current range: 10-200 A
TIG voltage at 10 A: 10.4 V
TIG voltage at 200 A: 18 V
MMA voltage at 10 A: 20.4 V
MMA voltage at 200 A: 28 V
Duty cycle:
60% duty: 200 A
100% duty: 129 A
The duty cycle indicates how long the machine can operate without overheating within a 10-minute cycle.
Important for the buyer: FORBY® TIG 200 MX DC is a direct current (DC) welding machine and has no AC TIG mode, therefore it is not intended for TIG welding of aluminium and its alloys. For aluminium TIG welding, choose an AC/DC welding machine.

Compact and mobile - thanks to its small dimensions, 6.5 kg weight and integrated handle, the machine is easy to carry and use at different workplaces.
Robust construction - the metal housing and plastic protective elements are designed for everyday welding work.
Clear and functional control panel - the digital display and convenient adjustment knob let you select HF TIG, LIFT TIG, pulse TIG, COLD WELD and MMA modes and adjust the main welding parameters.
Convenient top carrying handle - the machine is easy to move between workplaces.
Efficient cooling and IP21S protection class - an integrated fan helps cool the machine components. The unit is intended for use in a dry environment protected from rain.

QUICK AND CONVENIENT GAS HOSE CONNECTION
1. The integrated quick gas coupling allows the gas hose to be connected or disconnected easily and quickly. This shortens setup time and makes moving and transporting the machine easier.
2. A 3-metre pressure-resistant gas hose is included with a quick coupling on the machine side. The optimal hose length gives more freedom to conveniently position the welding machine and gas cylinder at the workplace.
STURDY CONNECTORS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER LOADS
Large 35-50 welding cable connectors ensure reliable contact and stable current transfer. They are designed for higher loads and help reduce connector heating and energy losses. Compared to budget machines, which more often use 10-25 connectors, 35-50 welding cable connectors provide an additional reliability margin.
The standard EURO connector for the MIG torch combines welding current, gas, wire feed and control contacts in a single connection. The torch can be quickly connected, disconnected or easily replaced with another MIG torch, while the threaded lock ensures a secure connection during operation.
FORBY welding equipment focuses on quality, durability and convenient use, so even compact machines feature higher-grade solutions such as large 35-50 cable connectors and a universal EURO connector for the MIG torch.
